Chris L Jensen

Bio

I have worked at the Radiochemical Engineering and Development Center (REDC)  located at ORNL for nearly 10 years. My current position with the laboratory requires expertise and unique knowledge of equipment employed at the REDC, particularly hot cell and glovebox equipment. During my time at ORNL I have served as a laboratory technician, supporting various work efforts, improved capabilities to produce nuclear materials, and helped improve quality control documentation and approval methods. My primary career focus has been with the ²³⁸Pu supply project, to supply NASA’s deep space missions with heat source oxide. My work with this project has afforded the opportunity to have hands-on experiences with teams that employ unique equipment, materials, and situations seen in a limited number of facilities around the world.
