Bio
Don Caverly is 7930 Operations Group Lead, working in facility operations/maintenance for Building 7930 and its californium-252 production.
Don joined in ORNL in 2010 and previously worked as a hot cell technician and shift supervisor in the Radiochemical Engineering Development Center (REDC) and as a specialist/task lead for 7920 Hot Cell Operations.
In 2018, he received a labwide award for Operational Support.
Don retired from the U.S. Navy Reserve in 2023 after more than 20 years of combined active and reserved duty.
He is pursuing his degree through Tennessee Technological University's Undergraduate Program of Interdisciplinary Studies.
