John A Dyer

Nuclear Materials Manufacturing Engineer

A senior radiochemical processing technician, John Dyer joined ORNL in 2016. In addition, he is a Subject Matter Expert for Cermet Pellet Processing on the Pu-238 Supply Program and is involved with all fabrication steps of neptunium-237 powder and cermet pellet production.

Dyer was previously a staff technician in the Isotope Science and Engineering Directorate and its predecessor, the Nuclear Science and Engineering Directorate. Prior to coming to ORNL, he was a staff technician with the Ceramic Development Group at Knolls Atomic Power Lab in Niskayuna, N.Y.

Dyer holds Associate of Applied Science degrees both in industrial ceramics engineering technology and alternative energy studies from Hocking Technical College in Nelsonville, Ohio.

He is a member of the American Glovebox Society.
