Bio
I’m originally from South East NC. I grew up on a small farm, cut wood for heat (was the only source for the house), took care of horses, cows, dogs, cats, chickens, guineas, tractors, hay, and had a typical country living. In my adult life, I worked several years in construction, mostly in the HVAC/Elect/Building trades, was an auto mechanic for a few years, and went to NC State University for my Mechanical Engineering degrees (BS/MS). I’ve been in Tennessee since 2013 and its where I met his wife, Grace. We have a small farm here as well and have a few horses, donkeys, chickens, cats, dogs, etc.
Among other things, I’ve worked in Nuke reactor engineering as an outage tooling designer, supported the mechanical designs for wind turbines, worked on s couple of DOE projects as a systems engineer, and now at ORNL.
